Ben Milliken wins the Bassmaster open at Toledo Bend

Ben Milliken a armature tournament fisherman has won the Bassmaster open at Toledo Bend. Milliken is competing in all of the open tournaments this season for the first time. Milliken is a popular fishing youtuber who is trying to go pro. His goal is to make it to the Elite series. He needs to finish in the top 6 in points through all the tournaments to qualify and has had a good start finishing 6th in the first tournament and 1st in this one.

Milliken won the tournament with a 3 day total of 77lbs 14oz. Beating out second place by over 10 pounds. Trey McKinney who is a young angler from Illinois came in second with 67lbs 5oz. The tournament was not even close. Milliken ran away with it with a big bag on day one and didn't slow down.

The techniques he used which are no surprise to anyone are dragging a Carolina rig and throwing a glide bait with live scope. Both were very effective methods for the big school o fish he found. He would catch a majority of fish on the Carolina rig but the big ones came on the glide bait. Milliken is known on YouTube for catching giant fish on a glide bait and he proved he can do it in a tournament too.
